- How many one-sided cards would you need to display all the dates in the current month, e.g., 1-28, 30, or 31, if each card contains a single digit 0 - 9 and you can reuse any digit after displaying a date, e.g., after displaying 10, you can reuse the 1 for another date? Provide each student with the suggested number of blank one-sided cards to test his or her conjecture. See if you can display all dates using fewer cards.
- How many two-sided cards do you need to display all the dates in the current month if you can reuse cards as before? Provide each student with the suggested number of blank two-sided cards. See if you can display all dates using fewer two-sided cards.
